Exclusive: Why Governor Amosun is angry with Oshiomole

The Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun has not been having is so smooth with the national working committee of the All Progressives Congress and with the national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole’s tough stand on ensuring justice and fairness within the party at all levels. 
Sources close to the national chairman of the party revealed that Adams Oshiomole has stood his ground by rejecting all advances from the Ogun state governor in order to manipulate the just concluded primaries in the state.
It will be recalled that Governor Amosun enjoyed the support of the former chairman Oyegun and he got away with so much illegality during the reign of Oyegun. Governor Amosun was one of the few governors along with Governor Akeredolu of Ondo, Governor Yari of Zamfara and Governor Okorocha of Imo state who stood against the emergence of Comrade Adams Oshiomole.
It was reliably gathered that when the Governor realised Comrade Oshiomole was going to be the National chairman of the party, he finally decided to retrace his steps and pledge loyalty to the new national working committee led by Comrade Adams Oshiomole having realised that the primary election is fast approaching and he must install all his candidates through a consensus arrangement.
During one of Governor Amosun’s late night visit to the party chairman, it was revealed that the governor in a contributory effort from another south west and north east Governors decided to offer a cash gift of $1million to the party chairman through Governor Amosun which the chairman vehemently declined.
The national chairman was said to have  been stunned and asked Governor Amosun not to repeat the action. He adviced him to work with the party stakeholders so as to position the party for success in the 2019 general election.
