Edo 2020: Group Commends APC House of Reps Caucus for supporting Ize-Iyamu

Edo Integrity Group, a political pressure group within the All Progressives Congress (APC),Comprising of youths across all the wards in Edo State has commended the House of Reps Caucus in the National Assembly for backing the candidature of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to emerge as the candidate of the APC in the forthcoming governorship election primaries in Edo State.

His words “Rising from its emergency general meeting held on Sunday, 14th June, in Benin, Oredo Local Government of Edo State, the group in a statement signed by its Chairman, Comrade Peter Obasogie, said the resolution of the House of Reps Caucus was truly reflective of the yearnings of the generality of the youths in Edo APC across all the 192 Wards and 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State.

“The meeting unanimously commended our representatives in the House of Reps for their resolution and urged the APC leadership caucus in the State to follow suit”, the statement added.

The Group also called on Edo people: “to ignore all the opportunistic noises coming from Obaseki’s corner as the governor should blame himself for his predicament. His penchant for impunity, intimidation, sacking of Local Council Chairmen and other appointees, and his rejection of over ten efforts at peacemaking laid the foundation for his downfall. .”

Edo people, according to the statement, “would not easily forget the wickedness meted out to their elected House of Assembly members among other vindictive policies.”

Last week, the Edo APC House of Reps Caucus published its resolution endorsing Pastor Ize-Iyamu and also stating that: “as loyal members of the party, we hereby state our full support for the method the party has chosen as the preferred method for the forthcoming gubernatorial primary in Edo State.” he concluded
