Confirmed: Ogun releases timetable for local government polls

The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) on Friday released timetable for election in the 20 Local Governments in the state.
The election is scheduled to hold on July 24.
The Chairman of OGSIEC, who stated this in the Notice of Election published on Friday in Ogun state, said that the commission would meet with political parties on May 4th 2021,at the Cinema Hall,
June 12 Cultural Centre,Kuto,Abeokuta at 10.00am prompt for the release of election guidelines.
PRESS RELEASE :OGSIEC RELEASES 2021 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION TIMETABLE
The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has released the
Timetable for the elections into the offices of Chairmen and Councillors in the
Twenty Local Governments of Ogun State.The Elections are scheduled to take
place on Saturday 24th July,2021.
As part of the commission’s efforts to ensure a free and fair Electoral Process,a
Press Briefing has been slated for Tuesday May 4th 2021,at the Cinema Hall,
June 12 Cultural Centre,Kuto,Abeokuta at 10.00am prompt.The Briefing will
enable the Commission to unveil the Electoral Guidelines for the Elections to all
Political Parties and the General Public.
The Commission hereby requests all registered Political parties wishing to
participate in the forthcoming elections to present not more than two
representatives at the Briefing.The restriction in the number of representatives
is to enable the strict observance of the COVID-19 protocols.
