Commissioner Jagunmolu Thanks Media For Image Retraction; Calls For Calm Among Supporters.

The Commissioner for Housing in Ogun state, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi has accepted apologies for retraction of the erroneous placement of his picture in place of Hon. Abiodun Abudu Balogun by some media houses.
In a statement issued on Wednesday,signed by one Abiodun Olumide and made available to Newsacross, tittled
“RE: ABIODUN SUSPENDS OGUN COMMISSIONER OVER ALLEGED SEXUAL HARASSMENT – DEMAND FOR RETRACTION, APOLOGY AND COMPENSATION FOR DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER”
The statement reads
We write in connection with recent happenings within the media space regarding the erroneous placement of the Ogun State Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi’s picture in place of that of Hon. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun.
We are pleased to communicate our acceptance in response to the retractions and apologies published from The Punch, Telegraph, The Sun, Alaroye and several other print and online media outfits as a way forward to sustain our symbiotic relationship with esteem members of the fourth realm of estate and the general public.
While expressing our profound gratitude to our dear friends, family (immediate and extended), political and business associates and other well meaning Nigerians for their concern, we passionately seek and appeal for your kind understanding in coming to terms with our decision to move on, despite the painful experience of the last few days.
