Budget Performance: Ogun Assembly Commends Odeda LG Boss, Semiu Bola Lawal

The Chairman, Transition Committee, Odeda Local Government, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal has been commended for the various developmental and grassroot oriented projects executed by his administration.

The commendation was given by the Chairman of the Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chietaincy Affairs Hon. Akeem Balogun while on an oversight visit to the Council area on Tuesday 1st December, 2020.

Hon. Balogun also urged the Council Management to sustain the tempo of developmental strides of the administration. He, however, charged the Council to do more in the area of internally generated revenue.

Speaking earlier, the Council boss, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal said that his administration has initiated and completed several people’s oriented projects including the reconstruction of twenty open stalls in Odeda Market, construction of fifty open stalls, sixteen lock-up shops and twenty open stalls at Gbonagun, Osiele and Kila Markets respectively.

Other projects outlined by the Council Chairman are the facelifting of the Council Secretariat and stocking of the local government poultry with four hundred point of lay birds.

Dignitaries at the occasion include members of the Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, The Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Musiliu Akindele, other members of the Transition Committee, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Tayo Akintomide, Directors and Heads of Departments.
