Breaking: APC’s Oluomo Wins Ifo Constituency 1 Poll
The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo has won Ifo Constituency 1 at the state House of Assembly rerun election.
The APC had scored 7,379 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 6,411 votes in the initial contest. A total of 1,596 persons are expected to participate in today’s election, while the margin of lead is 968.
Election initially, which held on March 18, was keenly contested between Oluomo and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Okikiola Ogundele, a son of the PDP Chairman in Ogun, Sikirulahi Ogundele.
