Breaking: Tragedy as suspected cultists kill one in Abeokuta {Photo}

Tragedy struck on Sunday night in the Oke Lantoro area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, as some suspected cultists who reportedly came on motorcycles shot dead one person popularly called Osama.

A resident of the area who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the incident said that Osama is said to have owned a popular lotto store (Baba Ijebu) with other branches in the area, and he had lived in that area for over 20 years before his demise.

The area had been very peaceful for so long until 2 weeks ago when Aye and Eiye members, who usually smoked together, had a fight, leading to them chasing each other with weapons. The next day, there were reports of stabbings at the petrol station between Eiye and Aye members. Since then, there’s been fear of retaliation as all cultists have been on high alert.

He was said to have been in the company of some people when his assailant swooped on him and shot him in the head.
