BREAKING! Lagos Deputy Gov-elect Hamzat Loses Dad, Oba Mufutau Hamzat

The Deputy Governor of Lagos, Dr.Quadri Obafemi Hamzat, is bereaved. His father, His Royal Highness Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat, is dead.

Oba Hamzat died in the early hours of Sunday due to age-related ailment. All through Friday and Saturday, Oba Hamzat was said to be on life support.

Doctors, his children and relations were running helter-skelter to save his life.

Oba Hamzat is the Olu of Afowowa Sogade, a relatively small community in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State.

He was an influential political leader in Lagos State before he was invited home to lead his people. In fact Oba Hamzat used to be a member of the influential Governor’s Advisory Council.
