AWUJALE STOOL: Egbe Obayori Age group Welcome Fusengbuwa Descendants to Awujale Nomination Meeting,

..declares Solidarity With Otunba Ademorin Kuye

Ijebu Ode: One of the prominent Ijebu age groups, Egbe Obayori Okunrin (Asiwaju), Akile Ijebu, has formally welcomed the descendants of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House of Ijebu Ode to the grand nomination meeting for the prestigious Stool of the Awujale, the Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland.

In a statement issued by Yori (Comrade) Akeem Temitope Akilo, the Publicity Secretary of the group, the Egbe described the nomination process as a historic and defining moment in the enduring legacy of the Ijebu traditional institution. The group emphasised the importance of unity, tradition, and collective responsibility as Ijebuland moves towards the selection of its next paramount ruler.

The group, Egbe Obayori Okunrin (Asiwaju) Akile Ijebu openly and proudly stands in unflinching solidarity with its Baba Egbe and illustrious son of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Otunba (Hon.) Ademorin Aliu Kuye, as he steps forward in humility, service, and honour to answer the call of history in his bid for the Awujale stool. According to the statement, Otunba Kuye’s aspiration reflects a deep commitment to the values, culture, and progress of Ijebuland.

Otunba Ademorin Aliu Kuye was appointed Baba Egbe Obayori Okunrin (Asiwaju), Akile Ijebu in 2018, and on Sunday, 19th August 2018, led the age group to the palace to receive royal blessings and traditional recognition from His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR, GCON, Ogbagba II, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland.

The group invoked the guiding hands of the ancestors, praying that wisdom, unity, truth, and the timeless traditions of Ijebuland prevail throughout the nomination process, and that the outcome further uplifts the dignity, peace, and enduring glory of the Ijebu nation.
