ABIODUN CHARGES CHRISTIANS TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF BLESSINGS EMBEDDED IN THE CHRISTMAS SEASON
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has urged the people of the state to take advantage of the blessings embedded in the Christmas season to pray for peace in the nation.
Prince Dapo Abiodun who gave the admonition during the Ogun State 2019 Christmas carol and service of nine lessons held at the June 12 cultural center, kuto, Abeokuta, said that it was high time for the people imbibed the lessons of love, unity and humility as demonstrated by Jesus Christ, adding that a life of love is necessary as it will help to further strengthen the nation’s democracy.
The governor who read the ninth lesson of the service from the book of John, chapter 1 verse 1-14 enjoined the people to continue to support the current administration in its drive at ensuring positive transformation of the state.
In his message, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Nigeria Baptist Convention, Rev. Dr. Samson Olasupo Ayokunke who read from the book of St Mathew, chapter 1 verse 18 to 25, urged Christians to be committed and dedicated in everything they do, saying that there would be no success without challenges.
Ayokunle while admonishing political office holders to rule with the fear of God, urged them not to make themselves unreachable to those that stood by them during the electioneering process.
