Odeda LG Chairman, Folasade Adeyemo reaffirms commitment to grassroots security
Odeda – The Chairman of Odeda Local Government, Folasade Adeyemo, has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to strengthening security at the grassroots through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Adeyemo made this known during a seminar on grassroots security organised by the Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The seminar brought together local government officials and other stakeholders to discuss strategies for enhancing community security through improved intelligence gathering, community policing and effective grassroots governance.
Speaking at the event, Adeyemo described security as a shared responsibility, stressing the need for sustained cooperation among government, traditional institutions, security agencies and residents to maintain peace and protect lives and property.
She said the Odeda Local Government would continue to support initiatives aimed at improving security and ensuring a safe environment for residents.
According to her, strengthening grassroots security remains essential to promoting development and improving the welfare of the people.
The seminar also highlighted the Ogun State Government’s efforts to build a more effective grassroots security framework capable of addressing emerging security challenges across local communities.
Among those who attended the event were the Vice Chairman of Odeda Local Government, Yaya Nasiru Adigun; the Head of Local Government Administration, Oluwole Fateru; directors, political office holders and other principal officers of the council.
