Deji Ashiru Hails Yayi’s Emergence as Ogun APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Lauds Gov. Abiodun’s Leadership

ABEOKUTA – The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Oshun River Basin Development Authority, Engr. Dr. Deji Ashiru, has congratulated Senator Aremo Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general election.
Senator Adeola, who currently represents Ogun-West Senatorial District, secured the party’s ticket in a ratification process that has been widely described as smooth and credible.
In a statement released on Thursday, Engr. Ashiru described the senator’s victory as well-deserved, expressing confidence in his ability to effectively represent the people’s interests and further strengthen the party’s growing influence within the state and beyond.
“Senator Adeola’s emergence is a testament to his political stature and grassroots appeal. I am confident that he will champion the aspirations of our people and consolidate the APC’s stronghold in Ogun State,” Ashiru said.
The Ogun-Oshun River Basin boss also commended Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his leadership and political dexterity in ensuring a transparent and credible ratification process. According to Ashiru, the governor’s pragmatic leadership style and strategic approach to party administration continue to contribute remarkably to democratic development and internal party cohesion.
“Governor Abiodun has once again demonstrated that fair and inclusive processes are the bedrock of a strong party. His commitment to unity and progress within the APC is exemplary,” Ashiru added.
