2023: Ogun central APC Candidates hold strategy meeting, Predict Landslide victory for the party

…opposition parties will remain invisible, irrelevant

Candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun central senatorial District have promised to ensure victory for the party across the senatorial district and beyond.

The flag bearers made the promise at the end of their closed-door meeting in Abeokuta, the state capital on Tuesday, as they intensify plans to ensure victory at the polls in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking in separate interviews with Journalists after their meeting, the candidates said the party would prove its dominance in Ogun politics during the polls.

Leader of the team who is also The Ogun central Senatorial candidate, ALHAJI SHUAIB AFOLABI SALISU said, “The epoch-making event was to strategize on winning the elections and campaign right from presidential campaign cum Ogun State campaign. It’s a structural plan that involves all candidates of the party across Ogun Central senatorial District as directed by His Excellency, Dapo Abiodun Leaders of the party have saddled all candidates to work as a team for the success of the party and victory of all its candidates at the polls come 2023″

“We will ensure that all the candidates of the party win convincingly at the presidential, governorship, national and state assembly elections. In Ogun state, we have what we call (team 40) involving the governor, deputy governor, 12 members of the National Assembly and 26 members of the state assembly and we all have a common goal” Salisu said.

The House of Representatives Candidate of the party in Abeokuta South Federal constituency, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, said APC remains a mass movement of the people with an edge over opposition parties.

He said the party is deeply on the ground in Ogun state “because of how it has impacted the lives of the people”.

According to him, “The party stands the best chance in the 2023 election, APC is fully on the ground, there is no opposition in Ogun state. As of today, PDP has no candidates in the state” he said.

Other candidates who attended the meeting are the speaker of the Ogun state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo from Ifo state constituency 1, Hon. Taiwo Deregos, Abeokuta South state house of Assembly candidate, Hon. Fola Salami, Ifo 2 state Assembly candidate, Hon Tunde Tela, Abeokuta North State Assembly candidate, and Hon. Yusuf Amosun from Ewekoro state constituency.
