Wife of Ogun Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun Celebrates Birthday at Juvenile Correctional Home
Abeokuta, Ogun State – The Wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, marked her 59th birthday with a heartfelt celebration at the Juvenile Correctional Centre in Asero, Abeokuta, using the occasion to inspire the children and encourage them to embrace a brighter future.
During the get-together she organised, Mrs. Abiodun advised the children not to give up on themselves but to seize the opportunity to rewrite their narratives and remodel their lives for success.
“As I celebrate my birthday with you today, I want to tell you that it’s never too late to start anew,” she said. “We as adults have made mistakes in the past, but we’ve been able to learn from them and rewrite our stories. I urge you to look at the brighter side of life and work towards becoming the best version of yourselves.”
The Governor’s wife expressed her joy in spending her special day with the children and commended the social workers and caregivers for their dedication and love towards them.
The Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Bolanle Ajayi, praised Mrs. Abiodun as a strong supporter of her husband’s administration, particularly in advancing the welfare of women, children, and persons living with disabilities.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Adijat Adeleye, stressed the importance of giving children a second chance to rebuild their lives. She noted that the celebration would give the children a sense of belonging and prayed for Mrs. Abiodun’s long life and prosperity.
Other dignitaries, including the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Mrs. Ayotunde Lawal; the Wife of the Speaker, Mrs. Yinka Elemide; and the Wife of the Head of Service, Mrs. Onasanya, lauded Mrs. Abiodun for her integrity, humility, and kindness. They also offered prayers for her continued prosperity and good health.
