Ogun State Government to Begin Second Phase of Vehicular Emission Scheme

The Ogun State government has announced plans to commence the second phase of its Vehicular Emission Scheme, aimed at reducing the environmental and health impacts of vehicle emissions.


This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA), Alhaji Farouk Akintunde, who emphasised that the initiative is designed to improve the quality of life for residents.
The statement further revealed that the second phase of the scheme will take effect on Monday, 7th July 2025.
The government has urged citizens and residents of the state to cooperate with officials of OGEPA and security agencies as they implement the program.
According to the release, the scheme is essential to safeguarding the environment and ensuring the overall well-being of the people of Ogun State.
