Engr. (Chief) Samuel Adebayo Dayo,
Chairman,
Ijebu Igbo Council of Elders,
Iapara,
Ijebu Igbo.

Sir,
A LETTER REQUESTING THAT YOU STEP DOWN AS THE CHAIRMAN, IJEBU IGBO COUNCIL OF ELDERS

First and foremost, we wish to place on record our deep appreciation of your activities during your tenure as the Chairman of ICE. For these we remain grateful to you.

However, your active involvement in partisan politics and the ongoing political imbroglio in which you are deeply enmeshed, and having weighed the possibility of such as capable of bruising our collective sensibilities as a foremost group and the voice of the Ijebu Igbo Kingdom; the Board of Trustees (B O T) of this Council, arising from an emergency ZOOM meeting, resolved that you should in the meantime, step down forthwith us as the Council’s Chairman.

Please note that by this action, the B O T is not being judgmental, rather the B O T, a strictly non-political organization feels that it will not be healthy for the ICE or ICE B O T if its Chairman and members are embroiled in controversial and unhealthy partisan political issues that could divide the membership of the Council and the Orimolusi Kingdom along political lines.

We therefore wish and direct that, as a matter of honor and decency, you vacate your office.

We wish you success in future endeavors.
Please accept the assurances of our best regards.

Prof. Layi Ogunkoya Otunba Yinka Bolajo
B. O. T. Chairman Secretary
