Hon. Avoseh Inaugurates Ipokia Local Government Boundary Committee

Ipokia – In line with his commitment to continuity and inclusive governance, the Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh (a.k.a Cornerstone), inaugurated the newly constituted Ipokia Local Government Boundary Committee on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

During the ceremony, Hon. Avoseh congratulated the committee members on their well-deserved appointments and commended their dedication to serving their community. He emphasised that the Ogun State Boundary Committee has received numerous petitions concerning intra-local government boundary disputes, which the newly formed committee will now address at the grassroots level.

The Chairman urged members to work diligently to resolve boundary disputes promptly, ensuring that all issues receive careful attention to prevent societal unrest and foster peace within the Local Government Area. He also encouraged unity among the committee members for the progress and development of Ipokia.

1. Hon. (Mrs) Okewole Grace Olufunmilayo – Vice Chairman (Committee Chairman)
2. Hon. Obeki John Jesuyon – Supervisor for Works and Housing (Member)
3. Hon. Bankole Olusola Simion – Supervisor for Medical and Health (Member)
4. HRM Oba Adesola Olaniyan – Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom (Member)
5. HRM Oba John Adewale Olaifa – Alase of Ilase (Member)
6. Barrister (Chief) Orisadare Ajibola – Lawyer (Member)
7. Hon. (Chief) Taiwo Zinsu Whepetoji – Party Leader (Member)
8. Surveyor Olugbemi Babatunde Oluwagbenga – Zonal Surveyor, IPLG (Member)
9. Hon. Bolaji Johnson Olushola – Secretary to the Local Government (Member/Secretary)

In his response, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Babajide Johnson Olushola, who also serves as the committee’s secretary, expressed gratitude to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun (CON) and Hon. Avoseh for the opportunity to serve. He assured, on behalf of the committee, that they would carry out their duties effectively to promote development in the Local Government.

The inauguration was attended by key officials, including the Vice Chairman, Hon. Olufunmilayo Grace Okewole, the **Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Emmanuel Pogbe, and directors from various departments. Other dignitaries included Barrister (Chief) Orisadare Ajibola and Surveyor Olugbemi Babatunde Oluwagbemi.
