ABK South: Shomide, others meet water corporation over acute shortage of water in Ogun

The transition committee chairman of Abeokuta south local government, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide and other members of the committee on Monday met with the Ogun State Water Corporation over scarcity of water in the state.

According to the transition chairman, the visit was to discuss the issue of water scarcity in Abeokuta South Local Government Area.

The General Manager Engr. Oluseye Olugbenga Maku who received the committee headed by the chairman revealed that the recent scarcity of water was as a result of the recent road constructions and extensions in Abeokuta south which had damaged some water supply pipes.

He noted that repair works is still going on at the main water supply plant, adding that in the next few days, water will be pumped and the faulty areas of the pipes will be identified for immediate repair.
