The presentation took place during the foundation’s grand empowerment programme in Ijebu-Ode, where 2,000 beneficiaries, comprising women, youths, persons with disabilities, elderly citizens and small and medium-scale business owners, received cash grants and food palliatives across the various wards.

Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Ashiru described Akesi as a vibrant, competent and grassroots-oriented politician who understands the aspirations and needs of the people of Ijebu-Ode.

He assured the APC candidate of his unwavering support, expressing confidence that the people of Ijebu-Ode would stand firmly behind her to secure victory at the polls.

Dr. Ashiru said the foundation’s commitment to the APC goes beyond public declarations, noting that its support is reflected in tangible empowerment initiatives, campaign materials, food palliatives and sustained grassroots mobilisation.

He added that the initiatives align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and are aimed at strengthening the APC’s chances across all elective positions in Ogun State.

In her response, Hon. Akesi expressed appreciation to Dr. Ashiru and the EDA Empowerment Foundation for the recognition and support, as well as the empowerment programme benefiting thousands of residents.

She pledged to remain committed to the interests of the people of Ijebu-Ode and provide effective representation if elected into the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The event attracted APC leaders, party elders, women, youths and other stakeholders, with beneficiaries and supporters expressing excitement during the presentation of the campaign cap.

The foundation reiterated its commitment to supporting all APC candidates and mobilising grassroots support ahead of the forthcoming elections.

APC victory remains the foundation’s priority, with Ijebu-Ode standing firmly behind Akesi.
