Ifo, Ewekoro Rally Behind Adeleye as APC House of Reps Candidate Intensifies Unity Drive Ahead of General Elections
IFO – The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate for the Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, Hon. Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, has intensified consultations and reconciliation efforts across Ifo and Ewekoro Local Government Areas as part of moves to strengthen party unity and consolidate support ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The consolidation meetings, held in both Ewekoro and Ifo I State Constituencies, attracted party leaders, traditional rulers, elected officials, ward executives, youth and women leaders, as well as grassroots mobilisers, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to delivering victory for the APC at the polls.
Hon. Adeleye was accompanied by the APC House of Assembly candidates for Ewekoro and Ifo I State Constituencies, Hon. Abiodun Adeleye and Hon. Ibrahim Amosu, respectively. The delegation used the visits to appreciate party faithful for their support during the party primaries while calling for greater unity as preparations begin for the official campaign.
Addressing party members, Hon. Adeleye explained that the visits were not campaign rallies but appreciation and reconciliation meetings aimed at strengthening the party’s internal cohesion.
She said the official campaign period would provide the platform to unveil her agenda and vision for the people of Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency, adding that the immediate priority was to appreciate party leaders, ward executives, Apex leaders and support groups for their unwavering support and to ensure every perceived misunderstanding within the party was resolved.
According to her, the APC has continued to distinguish itself through inclusive leadership, consultation and mutual respect, describing the leadership style of the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), as a model of people-centred and unifying politics.
She also disclosed that plans were already at an advanced stage for the renovation of the APC Local Government Secretariat as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s institutional structures.
Speaking on behalf of APC leaders in Ewekoro Local Government, the party chairman, Alhaji Ayinde Sogbamu, described Adeleye’s visit as a demonstration of humility, gratitude and political maturity.
He assured the House of Representatives candidate of the party’s total support, expressing confidence that the APC would record another resounding victory in the constituency.
Similar assurances were given by the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Adesina, Evangelist J. K. Akinsoji, and the Olu of Itori, Oba Fatai Akanmo, who commended Adeleye’s emergence as the product of fairness, consultation and progressive consensus. They urged party members and residents to remain united and mobilise support for all APC candidates during the elections.
At the Ifo stakeholders’ meeting, party leaders, including the Local Government Chairman and Acting Apex Chairman, Barr. Olumide Oduwole, Chief Derin Adebiyi, Aare Tunde Alabi and other party chieftains, described Adeleye’s emergence as a victory for the entire Federal Constituency.
The leaders pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation, encourage wider participation in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and work collectively to secure victory for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
The meetings were attended by prominent party leaders and stakeholders, including Dr. Sikirulai Ogundele, Hon. Johnson Fatoki, Hon. Fola Salami, Prince Dapo Adeyemi, Hon. Wole Enilolobo, Moruf Paramole, Pastor Matthew Oladele, Engr. Saheed Ariori, Hon. Kikelomo Delano, ward executives, Apex leaders, youth groups, women leaders and party faithful, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to the unity and electoral success of the APC in Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency.
