2027: Bolaji Oyesile Joins Abeokuta North, Odeda/Obafemi Owode HoR Race, Vows People-Oriented Projects

ABEOKUTA – Political activities in the Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode/Odeda federal constituency are heating up ahead of the 2027 general election as Hon. Bolaji Oyesile has formally declared his intention to run for the House of Representatives seat.

The food technology expert and real estate investor made the declaration on Thursday at Ward 6, Ake Ido area of Abeokuta North Local Government, before a gathering of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders and supporters.
Oyesile, who also described himself as a business mogul, said his decision was driven by a need to rescue the constituency from years of stagnation and underdevelopment. He pledged people-oriented projects and purposeful leadership if elected.
“I have a lot to offer my people. First, I will ensure that I support any legislation that will enhance and improve the standard of living of my constituents,” he said.
The aspirant highlighted agriculture as a key priority, noting that two of the three local governments in the constituency – Odeda and Obafemi Owode – are largely agrarian. He promised to initiate and support bills that strengthen the agricultural sector and tailor policies to support farmers.
On education, Oyesile stressed sustained investment as crucial to national development. “I will support any legislation that will improve the education sector in Nigeria. I do not want the western part of the country to face the Almajiri challenge associated with other regions. Our children must be well educated because investment in education is a lifetime investment for the nation,” he stated.
Expressing confidence in securing the APC ticket, Oyesile said: “With God, all things are possible. I trust in the Almighty God and in our leaders. When they come together to decide who will fly the flag, I am confident that my name, Bolaji Oyesile, will emerge. I believe there will be no contest.”
