Ogun Monitoring Team Inspects Projects in Ipokia LG, Commends Chairman Avoseh’s Efforts

Ipokia– The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh (aka Cornerstone), today received a monitoring team from the Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as part of their oversight functions.

The team, led by Mrs. Onamade O., was in Ipokia to inspect various projects executed by the local government administration. Hon. Avoseh assured the delegation of his commitment to transparency and accountability, emphasising that his administration prioritises quality service delivery for the people.
He explained that his government continued projects initiated by the previous administration while also extending developmental interventions to underserved wards. The Chairman credited the success of the projects to the dedication of the Works and Housing Department, headed by Engr. Taiwo Tinuoshe Olaneye (MNSE), who ensured the use of high-quality materials.
Mrs. Onamade expressed satisfaction with the inspected projects, including:
– Construction of 20 lock-up shops in Vahwhe Tafa
– Building of a three-classroom block in Maun 1
– Renovation of a three-classroom block in Agada Ward
The inspection team was accompanied by key local government officials, including the Directors of General Services, Works and Housing, Information, Education and Sports, and the Internal Auditor.
Also present were members of the Ogun State monitoring team, including Mr. Adetona J., Mrs. Toma A.O., Mr. Muhammad K.A., and Mrs. Odueke P.D.
The visit underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring accountability in grassroots governance while recognising the efforts of local administrations in delivering democratic dividends to the people.
