ORU– The Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijebu North Local Government Area has unanimously passed a vote of confidence on key party leaders, formally endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 general elections.

In a strategic meeting held in Oru on Saturday, the council also ratified endorsements for the current Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to contest for the Ogun East Senatorial seat, and for Hon. Joseph Folorunsho Adegbesan to seek re-election into the House of Representatives.
The resolutions were the outcome of a comprehensive evaluation session regarding the quality of representation at the federal, senatorial, and national levels. According to the committee, the decision to back these candidates is rooted in a desire for continuity and the consolidation of ongoing developmental projects.
The motion to adopt the three political figures was moved by the Committee’s Treasurer, Mr Abolore Kasali Adesina, and was formally seconded by Mr Adekunle Okunbajo, the APC Chairman for Ward 6.
The endorsed tickets include:

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu: Endorsed for re-election in the 2027 presidential race.

Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, CON: Endorsed for the Ogun East Senatorial District ticket.

Hon. Joseph Folorunsho Adegbesan: Endorsed for a second term representing the Ijebu North, Ijebu East, and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency.

Speaking on the development, the committee leadership emphasised that the endorsements followed a critical appraisal of the state of the nation and the specific needs of the constituency.

“The collective decision reflects our confidence in the track record and dedication of these leaders,” a council spokesperson stated following the meeting. “We believe continuity is vital for the consolidation of ongoing projects and the further advancement of our constituency and the nation.”

The communiqué confirming the resolutions was jointly signed by the Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Mosunmola Oladipo, and the Local Government Secretary, Mr Taiwo Adeleye.
