TETFUND opens plans to tackle insecurity in Higher Institutions
Respite will soon come the way of tertiary institutions in Nigeria as regards the menace of adequate security and power.
This good news is coming courtesy of the chairman of the board of Trustee BOT of the tertiary education ion trust fund, Hon Aminu Masari.
Speaking at the tertiary retreat trust fund by the National Assembly, with the theme ‘Challenges of Insecurity and Power in Higher Institutions’ held recently. Hon. Masari said the new initiative was to create a new intervention line aimed at addressing the issues of security and power in Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.
The issues to Hon Masari, who was Nigeria’sntertiarythe program by Abdulmumim Oniyangi, director of Public Affairs at TETFUND, underscored education’s pivotal role in the nation’s development and the urgent need to improve the funding of the sector’s.
“Education is the bedrock of national progress, and its funding must reflect its importance. We need to spark a national conversation about sustainable financing models that can ensure the future of higher education in Nigeria,” he emphasised.
