Ogun Youth Group congratulates Gov. Abiodun, Commissioners on Awards of recognition
…say they are well-deserved
The Ogun State coordinate of All Progressives Congress Youth League has hailed the Awards of recognition bestowed on the governor of the state as well as three of his commissioners, in the last few days.
Coordinator of the league, Comrade Olamide Lawal expressed joy that the State’s giant strides in all sectors were being noticed, even outside the state.
Comrade Lawal noted that the emergence of Prince Dapo Abiodun as the Governor of the year in Agriculture and Housing were feats unequalled in recent times, especially due to the unstable nature of the outgoing year 2020.
“For a governor to have surpassed his colleagues in the Agric and Housing sectors, in a year like 2020 which was full of ups and downs, is an enviable accomplishment.”
“Only a determined and focused person can achieve anything this year. Kudos to Mr Governor for not allowing the challenges of this year to distract him from his Mission” Lawal explained
In the same vein, the League lauded the three Commisioners who were also honoured with outstanding performance awards, in the last few days.
The Honourable Commissioners for Housing, Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi; Agriculture, Dr Samson Odedina as well as Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Afolabi Afuape received various categories of Awards of Excellence from various highly reputed organisations.
While Afuape was honoured by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi for his surpassing performance in the Chieftaincy Affairs ministry, Odedina was praised for his excellent performance in the Agric sector during Prestige Newspapers’ 29th anniversary Ceremony.
Jagunmolu Omoniyi received the Award of Best Housing Commisioner in the country from the Housing Association.
The league maintained that these Awards were testifications that the state Governor’s choice of his cabinet members was truly right pegs in the right holes.
The Coordinator stated that Prince Dapo Abiodun is gradually returning the State to its enviable days ,but noiselessly.
“If someone is a performer and has men and women of intelligence and maturity by his side, no doubt the world will notice him”
“The Governor’s efforts are noticeable, even by the people outside Ogun state, hence we need to continue supporting him to do more” said the Coordinator
He called for further supports of the citizens and residents of the Gateway state, in a bid towards delivering dividends of Democracy to the people
