Ogun PDP confirms Arrest, Detention of Adebutu, refuses to apologise to Newsacross Correspondent

Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed the detention of its leader, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, by the Department of State Services (DSS).

In a statement released by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Arc. Kayode Adebayo, the party expressed concern over the detention and called for calm among its members and supporters.

While the exact reasons for the detention remain unclear, the party assured the public that efforts are underway to secure the release of Hon. Adebutu. Legal representatives have been informed and will take the necessary steps to address the situation.

The party appealed to the public to maintain peace and avoid speculation as the matter is being handled by legal authorities.

No Apology to Newsacross Correspondent*

The party has refused to apologize to a Newsacross Newspaper correspondent who broke the news of Adebutu’s detention, despite the party’s spokesperson labelling the correspondent a liar.
