Ogun Gov’t Appoints Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as New Procurement Bureau DG

Abeokuta – The Ogun State Government has appointed Mrs Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as the new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.
Her appointment was announced in a statement issued by the State Head of Service, Mr Kehinde Onasanya. She succeeds the late Dr Adesina Olanloye in the role.
According to the statement, the appointment is in accordance with the state’s extant Procurement Law (as amended). Mr Onasanya explained that Mrs Bolarinwa-Adebowale emerged through a competitive and merit-based selection process, which included the shortlisting and interviewing of qualified candidates who had completed the Executive Training Validation and Development Programme (ETVDP) within the management cadre of the Ogun State Civil and Public Service.
The new Director-General was also noted to have met the prescribed competencies, skills, and knowledge required for the position.
A seasoned lawyer, Mrs Bolarinwa-Adebowale was born on 22 May 1978 in Ibadan, Oyo State. She began her career in the civil service as a State Counsel in December 2005. She attended Anglican Girls’ Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode, and later obtained her LL.B. from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) before attending the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus.
Before her latest appointment, she served as Deputy Director of Civil Litigation in the Ministry of Justice and was subsequently seconded to the Bureau of Public Procurement as a Legal Officer.
The Head of Service noted that her elevation is part of the current administration’s efforts, under Governor Dapo Abiodun, to strengthen due process and accountability in public contracting. This, he stated, ensures that procurement policies are implemented in line with international best practices and established government bureaucratic procedures.
Mr Onasanya congratulated the new Director-General on her appointment and charged her to discharge her duties with a strong sense of responsibility and in strict adherence to the laws guiding her new office.
