Ogun APC Chairman Commends INEC, Security Agencies, and Congratulates Election Winners

Abeokuta – Chief Yemi Sanusi, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a free, fair, and credible election. Speaking at a press briefing, Sanusi praised the electoral body for its diligence and unbiased conduct during the recent bye-elections.
He also lauded the security agencies for maintaining peace and orderliness before, during, and after the polls. “The election process was free and fair. This is a manifestation of an unbiased electoral umpire,” Sanusi stated.
The APC chairman extended congratulations to the party’s leaders and its newly elected National Chairman, Prof. Newade Yiltwada, for the victories secured in various constituencies where bye-elections were held. He described the wins as a testament to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to his Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We, the entire leaders and members of APC in Ogun State, commend His Excellency for this feat,” Sanusi said. He also congratulated Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, describing Remo Federal Constituency as his primary constituency. “No doubt, His ‘Building Our Future Together’ Agenda has rubbed off on us. Once again, I congratulate you, Your Excellency!”
Sanusi also addressed the opposition, urging defeated candidates to accept the results graciously. “To every competition, there will always be a winner and a loser, but in this part of the world, our losers do not always lose gallantly—they end up being sore losers. I admonish them to be good sportsmen and channel all their grievances through legitimate means,” he advised.
Finally, he congratulated the winners and admonished them to remain humble in victory. “I congratulate the winner and admonish her to be humble in victory and embrace her co-contestants as partners in building our nation,” Sanusi concluded.
The APC chairman’s remarks come amid celebrations within the ruling party over its recent electoral successes, reinforcing its dominance in Ogun State politics.
