Eid El Fitr: Let righteous acts of Ramadan continue to guide you, ACOMORAN tells Ogun members

As Muslims around the world celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Fitr to mark the end of Ramadan fast for the Muslim year 1442AH,
The Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners, Repairers and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Ogun State chapter has enjoined Muslims to not forget the lessons learned in the holy month of Ramadan, and endeavor to be better than they were before, while treating each other with more compassion.

This was contained in a congratulatory message to its Muslim members by the PRO of the Association, Aremo Agunbiade and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta,Ogun state Capital

Aremo said that the one-month abstinence from food, drink and other worldly things from dawn to dusk is not just a religious ritual to be performed, but a requirement so that one may seem religious or pious to others

According to him, “Now that the holy month of Ramadan has ended, we must counsel ourselves not to forget its great lessons. We must be better than we were before. We must treat each other with more compassion and understanding.

“Not only must we pray for good things; we must also act in a better way. We must dedicate ourselves to performing the compassionate things that lie within the power of each of us to do in order to give peace and improve the lives of the people around us.

“This is the true message and meaning of Ramadan and of Islam itself,” he said.

He noted that an essential lesson that Ramadan teaches is love and compassion, and that Muslims to bring more compassion and love unto the world and in their relations with other people, irrespective of their faiths or beliefs.
