Breaking: List of PDP Chairmanship, Councillorship Candidates Released by OGISEC
The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has announced the release of the list of screened and cleared , People Democractic Party candidates for the upcoming Local Government elections. The list includes candidates for Chairmanship and Councillorship positions in the 20 Local Governments and 236 wards in Ogun state.
According to the commission’s chairman, Babatunde Osibodu, Esq., the screening exercise was conducted to ensure that all candidates meet the required qualifications. The commission has also announced the schedule for appeals and substitutions of uncleared candidates, which will take place from Wednesday, October 16 to Thursday, October 17, 2024.
Additionally, screening of substituted candidates will hold between Friday, October 18 and Tuesday, October 22, 2024. This provides an opportunity for candidates who were initially unclear to rectify any issues and participate in the elections, the chairman said in a letter addressed to the party chairman of PDP in Ogun State.
