AMORAN Celebrates Yayi, Abiodun on APC Adoption, Pledges Grassroots Mobilization

ABEOKUTA – The Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Ogun State Chapter, has issued a dual congratulatory message celebrating the formal adoption of Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon (YAYI) as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate and Governor Dapo Abiodun as the party’s Senatorial flagbearer for Ogun East.

The endorsements were ratified during the party’s first leadership meeting since the emergence of the consensus candidates, a development AMORAN leadership described as a significant milestone for party cohesion and grassroots confidence.

In a statement released following the union’s monthly State Executive meeting in Abeokuta, which drew representatives from all 20 Local Government Areas, AMORAN Chairman Otunba Taofeek Sokoya expressed the union’s unanimous support for both candidates.

Addressing the adoption of Senator YAYI for the governorship race, Sokoya praised Governor Abiodun’s role in fostering political stability. “The successful adoption of Senator YAYI for the Ogun State Gubernatorial ticket underscores the governor’s commitment to equity, fairness, and the overall stability of the APC in the Gateway State,” Sokoya stated. “We view this official adoption as a powerful testament to the unity, strength, and collective resolve of our great party.”

The Chairman noted that the union, representing a critical mass of commercial motorcyclists and tricyclists across the state, is fully mobilized behind Senator YAYI’s mandate, citing his legislative pedigree and connection with the grassroots.

In a separate but concurrent statement, AMORAN also celebrated Governor Dapo Abiodun’s adoption as the APC candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District. Sokoya described the decision as a strategic advancement for the district, emphasizing the governor’s track record on infrastructure and economic stability.

“His Excellency’s elevation to the Senate is a victory for the people of Ogun East who will benefit immensely from his wealth of experience and legislative foresight,” Sokoya remarked. “As a union with members in every ward, we have witnessed firsthand the infrastructural renaissance championed by this administration. AMORAN stands solidly behind our performing Governor.”

The association assured both candidates of its “unalloyed loyalty and structural support” across Ogun State in the lead-up to the forthcoming elections.
