2023: Don’t select moneybags, late joiners, as your Candidates, Abiodun warns stakeholders

The Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Friday warned stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in the state against moneybags and late joiners politicians, saying the electives positions are not for the highest bidder.








Governor Abiodun gave the warning on Friday, at a stakeholders meeting, which was held at Presidential Lodge, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Addressing the elders and leaders of the party, Governor Abiodun said “it is not possible for somebody to just come yesterday and thrown some dollars and pound sterling around and pick the ticket of our party”.
“People who have laboured and sacrificed for the party should be reckoned with. If these people who have just come have interest in our party they should have joined us a long time ago”, the Governor said.
A source said the meeting availed the stakeholders and Leaders an avenue to address continuing to ensure order, fairness and equity in the conduct of the party internal, electoral process in the state.
He urged the leaders to work together and engage with the aspirants to ensure rancour free Congresses and Primaries across the State.
