PDP Woman Leader, over 1000 members defect to APC in Sagamu LGA

...ABIODUN'S POLITICAL ADVISER, ADELEYE RECEIVES PDP WOMEN LEADER, OTHERS INTO APC

The political atmosphere in Ogun State is gradually taking a new turn as a former Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sagamu local government, Chief (Mrs) Mojisola Ademola has led hundreds of her teeming suporters to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC)

The event which was held on friday, 28th August, 2020 was witnessed by dignitaries from across the nooks and crannies of Remo Federal Constituency.

Receiving the decampees on behalf of the APC, Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye commended Ademola’s courage to take the bull by its horn by identifying with the Progressives in the state.

He assured the new members of proper integration into the party reiterating that Governor Abiodun runs an all-inclusive government.

“Both new and old members of the APC will be well placed in the party” He noted

Erstwhile Chairman of the PDP in Sagamu Local government, Otunba Akinyemi urged the new party members to be steadfast and loyal to the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun who is working in ensuring that democratic dividends get to every parts of the state.

A former Commissioner in the State, Chief (Mrs) Toyin Jekaami while welcoming the defectors, extolled the virtues of the late Leader of the state PDP, Senator Buruji Kashamu.

She stressed that Senator Kashamu was a good man who brought philantropical innovation into the political circle of the Gateway state.

Welcoming the defectors, Ogun East Senatorial Chairman of the APC, Otunba Adedoyin Asoludero implored the new party members to work with other party faithful in their various wards.

He pointed out that the defectors were accepted into the fold of the APC, thereby handing the ‘Broom’ which is the emblem of the party to the leader of the group, Chief Mrs Moji Ademola, who received it on behalf the new members.
