One of the famous chairmanship candidates of National Union of Road Transport Workers in Ogun state, Comrade Mutiu Omogbolawon Akindele has congratulated fellow Muslims in the state for Eid ul-Fitr celebration
Akindele, fondly called Kugbe urges Muslim faithful to continue to display the virtues and the morals of Ramadan, by exuding love and an increasing awareness of Almighty Allah, especially in these challenging times occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He made the call in a statement made available to Newsacross.com and signed from his Media Office, he urged fellow Muslims not to forget to extend the hands of good gesture to the poor, donate to charity, celebrate with the vulnerables according to the teaches and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
His Words “Eid ul-Fitr is the most important festival in the Islamic calendar and was started by the Prophet Muhammad himself.
“Today been first day of the tenth month of Islamic lunar calendar, no Muslims is permitted to fast on this day.
“We are not only celebrating the end of fasting, but also thanking Allah for the Qur’an which was first revealed towards the end of Ramadan, and for the strength Allah has given us to exercise self-control throughout the previous month of fasting.
“I want to plead with our fellow Muslims not to forget to extend the hands of good gesture to the poor, donate to charity, celebrate with the vulnerables according to the teaches and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
“As we cheer and laugh with all our heart, forever we shall be grateful to Allah for all of his heavenly blessings on us as an individual, National Road and Transport Workers (NURTW) as a UNION and to our own Governor and Nigeria in entirety.
“I plegde and reassure my commitment to the advancement and development of our dear state through my relentless effort in our UNION.
At this trying period of Covid-19, I believe Almighty Allah has taken control of the pandemic virus in all our states through out the country.
Let’s endavour to abide with the principles designed by the Government to cushion the spread of this pandemic virus.
