Ogun First Lady promises continuous support for Less-Privileged, Youths

The wife of Ogun State Governor, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun has promised to make the welfare of less privileged and youths a priority in the state and advised them to see themselves as integral part of the society and not treat themselves as out casts.

The wife of the Ogun state governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun gave the admonition while playing host to members of the Association of Women with Special Needs in her office in Abeokuta.

Mrs. Abiodun commended the courage and efforts of the women at being positively engaged and productive despite their challenges stressing the need for them remain dogged in their life pursuits.

Earlier in her remark, the leader of the team, Mrs. Toyin Laose appreciated the contributions of Mrs. Abiodun towards the welfare of the underprivileged and requested the state to give support to their members who were engaged in art and craft in the area of training and patronage.

In a related development, youths in the state have been implored to think outside the box and come up with good initiatives and programs that the government can support.

This advice came from the wife of the Ogun state governor, Mrs.Bmidele Abiodun during a courtesy visit to her by members of the HICAN Initiative, a non governmental group of young people with a vision of building future leaders through leadership trainings and mind set orientation.

According to Mrs. Bamidele youths remained the strength of the nation and it was necessary to groom and nurture future leaders in anticipation of the leadership roles and challenges ahead of them.

She lauded the good initiative promising the government’s support for them and advised other categories of youths in spite of the social and economic constraints to strive and contribute their quota to the development of the society.
