Ogun First Lady, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun welcomes first babies of the year

First Lady and Wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has welcomed the first baby of the year in Ogun State with prayer, gifts of baby items and cash.

The first baby, baby Zakariya, male, weighing 3.3kg

The first baby, baby Zakariya, male, weighing 3.3kg was delivered at about 12.17am at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital to the family of Zakariya where the First Lady equally settled the bills of two mothers and gifted all mothers in the ward cash and baby items.

Mrs. Abiodun also visited a baby boy, weighing 3.2kg delivered at about 1.35am at the family health clinic, Abeokuta South Primary Health Center, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta to the family of Mrs. Labake Akinwande.

Welcoming two other baby boys given birth to at 7.12am and 7.20am to the families of Amosun and Towolawi respectively, at the State Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta, Mrs. Abiodun congratulated the families describing their babies as special gifts from God adding that they should be valued and cherished.

On the First Lady’s entourage were the wife of the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Mrs. Bolanle Oluomo, Wife of the Ogun state Head of Service, Alhaja Nuratu Aigoro and APC Women Leader, Ogun Central, Alhaja Abisola Aliyu among others.
