OGUN 2027: Pro-Yayi Camp Pledges to Safeguard the Emerging Political Order

By Akeem Akilo
As the countdown to the 2027 general elections gathers momentum, political stakeholders and supporters of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) have pledged to safeguard the emerging political order and issued a stern warning that any attempt to sabotage or truncate the new political narrative gaining ground in Ogun State will be decisively resisted.

The pledge was made by the State Coordinator of the Yayi Progressive Movement (YPM), Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo, who is also a former Chairmanship Aspirant in the 2024 Ogun State local government elections.
Akilo declared that the Yayi Project has grown beyond the capacity of any individual or group to confront. He noted that the political forces and blocs driving the project are vast and formidable, and affirmed that they will deploy every legitimate political strategy to resist what he described as “a reactionary scheme to derail a rising political force” aimed at undermining the people-driven political momentum championed by Senator Adeola.
According to him, Ogun politics has entered a defining phase—one anchored on performance, inclusiveness, and mass participation—and there will be no room for regression or elite conspiracy.
Since Senator Adeola fully aligned with the Ogun political cause and emerged as the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, the state’s political landscape has undergone a fundamental transformation. His emergence injected clarity, structure, and direction into a political space long dominated by recycled promises and imposition.
Ogun politics, Akilo noted, now speaks a new language—delivery over deception, performance over propaganda.
The infrastructural interventions facilitated by Senator Adeola across Ogun West and other parts of the Gateway State are widely regarded as unprecedented and unmatched by any federal lawmaker, past or present. Roads, schools, healthcare facilities, and community-based projects have become visible testaments to a leadership style focused on impact rather than empty rhetoric.
Beyond infrastructure, his legislative performance at the National Assembly has further strengthened his political capital. Senator Adeola’s effectiveness as a lawmaker, combined with his uncommon accessibility to party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots members, has earned him widespread admiration. His politics, are people-centred, inclusive, and deeply rooted at the grassroots.
One of the most remarkable outcomes of the emerging 2027 political movement is the unprecedented unity it has fostered. Major political blocs, interest groups, and grassroots forces across Ogun State are increasingly aligning around what has now become popularly known as the Yayi Mandate. This level of consensus, is historic and rare in the political history of the state.
Akilo stressed that no political permutation or backroom arrangement can override the clear will of the people. “The mandate of the masses is crystal clear and non-negotiable,” he said, adding that it rests firmly on Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, FCA.
In a democracy, the voice of the people remains the foundation of political legitimacy. As Ogun State gradually prepares for the 2027 gubernatorial race, Senator Adeola-Yayi continues to resonate across towns, communities, and local governments as the embodiment of popular aspiration and trust.
For the All Progressives Congress (APC), the message from the grassroots is unmistakable. No serious political party, abandons a candidate with such widespread acceptance, proven capacity, and electoral value for a lesser option without grave political consequences.
With his strong grassroots presence, solid record of service, and unmatched acceptability, Senator Adeola-Yayi remains the rallying point for APC’s victory in Ogun 2027. The responsibility before the party is clear: respect the people’s mandate, consolidate the growing momentum, and deliver victory.
The signs, are too clear to be ignored. Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola-Yayi is not just an aspirant—he is the people’s mandate, and Ogun 2027 will testify to that reality.
