Odeda LG Boss, Adeyemo presents budget over N3bn for 2023 fiscal year
The Executive Chairman of Odeda Local government, Hon. Folasade Adeyemo on Thursday presented a total of Three billion, eight hundred and ninety-one million, nine hundred and ninety five thousand and four hundred and eighty eight naira, (N3,891,995,488.00 ) budget estimate to the legislative arm of the council.
Hon Folashade stated that the year 2023 budget, was in pursuit of her administration’s laudable objective as well as building on the solid foundation already laid by past administrations, through policies, programmes, and projects that would not only have direct impacts on the lives of the people but would better the overall well-being of the grassroot populace.
The council helmsman, expressed her gratitude to the leader of the legislative council, Hon. Adeyemi Rotimi and other honourable members of the house, for their spirit of accommodation, self denial, perseverance and cooperation since the present administration came on board.
Therefore, sought for total understanding between the executive arm and legislative council, that all hands must be on deck in the interest of the people and their destiny.
The number one citizen of Odeda Local Government said that, she appreciated the understanding support and confidence enjoyed from the peace loving people since this administration came on board, in particular, she appreciated the role of the pragmatic, untiring and indefatigable Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, (MFR), who has contributed significantly to the success and remarkable achievements of this administration.
In his acceptance speech, the leader of the legislative council, Hon Adeyemi Rotimi, commended the chairman, Hon Adeyemo Folashade for a job well done, concerning the last year budget approval and maximum implementation by the executives and as a result, it had great impact on the socio – economic life of the people of Odeda Local Government.
According to the Leader of the House, this will obviously shows that the draft budget presented today will not only be implemented when approved, but will further consolidate the good work this administration had embarked upon to better the welfare of the citizenry of Odeda Local Government, since inception of office.
He, therefore, gave an assurance on behalf of the honourable members that the legislative house would waste no time to pass the budget so that it would be considered and approved.
