New Odeda LG Chairman, Adeyemo Promises Good Governance At The Grassroot

    The newly sworn in Executive Chairman, Odeda Local Government, Hon. (Mrs) Folashade Adeyemo has promised good governance and dividends of democracy to the people of the Local Government Area.

    The Council boss made this ascertion today, 27th July, 2021 during the official handing over ceremony held at the Council Secretariat.

    Hon. Adeyemo, while speaking at the event remarked that her plan is to make Odeda Local Government better than she met it. She noted that her administration will hinge its development agenda on her campaign manifesto tagged “GBAYI”. According to her, the acronym stands for “Good governance, Basic and qualitative Education, Agriculture, Youth & Women Empowerment and Infrastructural development”.

    She however, solicited for the support of all and sundry for her administration’s success. She equally thanked all the political, traditional and religious leaders as well as the good people of the Local Government for their support before, during and after the electoral process.

    Dignitaries at the event include the Vice Chairman of the Council, Mr. Nosiru Yaya Adigun, the immediate past Transition Committee Chairman, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal, Hon. Olanrewaju Majekodunmi, a Commissioner in TESCOM and Hon. Adewale Adeogun, a member of Ogun SUBEB. Others include Hon. Fatai Adebimpe, a former Transition Committee Chairman of the Council, Mrs. Taiwo Akintomide, Head of Local Government Administration, elected Councillors from the ten Wards of the Council area, Directors of various departments and the work force of the Council.

    Highpoint of the event was the signing of the handover documents between both the Transition Committee Chairman, Hon Semiu Bola Lawal and the new Executive Chairman, Hon (Mrs.) Folashade Adeyemo.
