Ijebu North LG Chairman, Odusanya Bags NAOSS, OAU Chapter Lifetime Membership, Patron Award

...Receives Guinness Book of Records Setter, proposes to showcase the stars from Ijebu North this year.

The leadership of the National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) from Obafemi Awolowo University, led by its President, Comrade Adesina Oluwasola, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Mr ‘Bolaji Odusanya. The visit, held at the Chairman’s office, included the Guinness World Record Setter, Subair Enitan Oyinade, renowned for achieving the longest Washing hours in the world (WASH-ATHON), and an indigene of Ijebu Igbo.

The council boss warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for their safe landing in Ijebu Igbo.

He encouraged the leadership of the Ogun State Indigenous Association and particularly, the Guinness Book of Records setter to collaborate in changing the narrative from what is in vogue today for the betterment of humanity and nation-building.

Despite facing resource challenges, the Chairman highlighted his administration’s achievements, encompassing the rehabilitation, construction, and reconstruction of various projects, including classrooms, abattoirs, and office complexes. He highlighted some of the Ongoing projects which include the construction of a 600-seater Multipurpose Hall, Primary Health Centers, classrooms, and the illumination of Ijebu North.

In the cause of the visit, the NAOSS President, Adesina Oluwasola, stated the reasons for the nomination and selection of the Chairman as the Patron of NAOSS, citing his remarkable achievements and his open door policies and administration.

The Chairman, in response, affirmed his commitment to supporting development-conscious youth groups and individuals, emphasizing his administration’s plan to recognize and reward accomplished sons and daughters of Ijebu North.

In the presence of local government officials, including the Vice Chairman, Hon. Comfort Adeyemi; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adeniyi Sojirin; Consultant on Environment, Hon. Saheed Osiyemi; SA on Community and Social Development, Hon. Elijah; and SA on Special Duties, Hon. Tunji Adebajo, the Executive Chairman, Mr ‘Bolaji Odusanya, was honored with an Award of Excellence and a Certificate of Life Membership by NAOSS, OAU Chapter.

The NAOSS, OAU Chapter delegation comprised President Adesina Oluwasola, Vice President Adeleye Mariam, Shopade Kafayat, Adeleye Deborah, Adeyemi Adeola, Giwa Oluwaseyi, Bello Bolaji, Falodun Emmanuel, Kadiri Abdulmaleek, Fadipe Oluwatimileyin, Akinbola Moses, Akinpelumi Queen, and Subair Enitan.
