Gov. Dapo Abiodun has ‘written his name in gold’ – Odeda LG Boss, Semiu Bola Lawal

The Chairman, Transition Committee of Odeda Local government, Alhaji Semiu Bola Lawal on Wednesday said the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has written his name in gold in the midst of Odeda Local government people over the physical infrastructural and unequal Landmark projects which have impacted on the lives of the people of Odeda Local government area in the last 15 months of the Governor’s administration.

Lawal stated this during the commissioning of six Landmark projects supported by state government.

The projects include the construction of blocks of forty (40) open stalls at Gbonagun Market, sixteen (16) lock-up shops at Osiele Market, twenty (20)open stalls at Kila Market and a police post at Bakatari Eleso, a border town between Ogun and Oyo States.

According to him, the projects are two water projects at Papa Oja in Itesi ward and Aigbede village in Opeji ward. Others are 40 and 20 open stalls at Gbonagun and Kila Markets respectively, 16 lock-up shops at Osiele Market as well as a police post at Bakatari Eleso.

Hon. Lawal also seized the opportunity to express his appreciation to the Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR over completion of the 7.5 kilometers road,Fajol-American Junction-Gbonagun Road.

” The completion of the 7.2km road, an alternative route, had brought them great relief, as it would now reduce traffic gridlock daily experienced by motorists and other road users on the Abeokuta-Ibadan Express road, he said

The chairman further stated that Ogun state people have been affected by the leadership style of Governor Dapo Abiodun. He said the governor therefore derserves all needed support to lead Ogun State to the greater height.

Speaking at Gbonagun Market, where the first project was commissioned, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR ably represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state, Hon. Afolabi Afuape said that the state government will continue to prioritize all it’s electioneering promises by giving dividends of democracy to the people at the grassroots.

Hon. Afuape expressed his appreciation to the good people of Odeda local government for their support saying the current administration in Ogun state will not relent in its efforts at bringing governance closer to the people at the grassroots.

He thanked them for voting massively for All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last general election. He gave kudos to the Council Chairman, Hon Semiu Bola Lawal for a job well done.

Earlier in his remarks, Oba Abudulganiyu Adesanu, onitoko of Obantoko, Madoju 11 who represented by Chief Samsideen Jinodu, Osi Obantoko said after careful analysis of Prince Dapo Abiodun projects in the state, hereby affirms that Ogun state is indeed on the greatness given the leadership strides of the governor.

Dignitaries at the commissioning include the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogun Central Senatorial Chairman, Chief Fohun Abiola, other party stalwarts, traditional rulers, market leaders as well as principal political and career officers of the Local Government.
