FAKE NEWS: Imo State House of Assembly Not on Fire

The report on social media that Imo State House of Assembly is on Fire has been discarded as a “fake new” by Imo State Police.

A video shared on social media suggested that the House of Assembly is going up in flames but further investigation revealed that the video in circulation happened in far away Ghana and not Nigeria.

Responding to our text message to confirm if the report of the incident is true, the police Public relations officer in Imo State, SP Orlando Ikeokwu said the report is “fake news please.”
