Ex-Osun Gov, Oyinlola dumps APC

The former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oulyinlola has dumped the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Adio who is one of Oyinlola’s close aide and political godson said Oyinlola and his supporters have left APC.
He didn’t disclose the new party that Oyinlola will move to.
“I can confirm to you that former Governor Oyinlola has left APC along with his supporters. Therefore, we are no more in the APC. At the moment, I cannot talk about the new political party that Oyinlola will take us to.
The defection of Oyinlola from the APC was anticipated since he became the acting Coordinator of the Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) initiated by the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Oyinlola who became the governor of Osun State in 2003 also served as the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) when Alhaji Bamanga Tukor was the National Chairman of PDP during the administration of President Gooluck Jonathan.
President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Oyinlola as the Chairman of the Board of National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) last year.
Newsacross.com learnt that Oyinlola on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 presented his resignation letter to the Chairman of APC in Ward 1, Okuku, Odo Otin Local Government Area of Osun State.
