CP Adegoke Creates Special Crack Squad To Combat Burgeoning New Crime Trends

The Lagos State Commissioner for Police, CP Fayoade Adegoke has created a new tactical unit in the State Command to combat the growing trend of kidnapping, traffic Robbery, including ‘One chance’, Cultism and other violent emerging criminal activities in the State, with the aim to also improve the security architecture and ensuring the safety of lives and properties of residents.

The setting up of this units is an addition to many other far reaching strategies the Police Commissioner has initiated to firm up security coverage and to make the State a hard ground for criminal elements to operate.

According to a source, the office of the newly created Crack Squad is located in the criminal hotspot, Gbagada area of the State and headed by CSP Uba Adams, who within two weeks in office has his men tactically spread across the State not only carrying out stop and search operation but with intelligent report, identifying and going after ‘one chance’ robbery vehicles and eliminating other traffic robbery activities which many commuters already testifying about the reduction of such cases on Lagos roads since their operation began.

CP Adegoke also placed other units of the units in areas like; Ikorodu, Festac and other dangerous spots to ensure total clean up the State of neferious activities, stressing that residents are already commending the CP for the initiative, describing it as a sign of good things to come and that Adegoke has indeed come to Lagos to work.

In appreciating his effort in this regard a section of Celebrity Journal Publisher’s Association of Nigeria CJPAN, has thrown their weight behind the Commissioner of Police, appreciating him for outstanding performance and immense achievements since taking over as the Lagos CP, curbing indiscipline and provision of adequate Security during and after the Yuletide season and now with the creation of this new tactical squad, the State is set to enjoy profound safety.

They therefore called on all residents and the general public to cooperate with the Police in flushing out criminal elements from among us.
