Controversy Erupts in Dapo Abiodun Likeminds as Chairman is Removed Over Alleged Misconduct

Abeokuta, Ogun State – In a surprise move, the Dapo Abiodun Likeminds group has announced the removal of its chairman, Hon. Adewale Nurudeen (aka Aka), citing allegations of misconduct and abuse of power. The group’s Publicity Secretary, Comrade Aderele Michael, revealed in a statement that Aka was accused of personalizing the association and using its name to further his own interests.

According to the statement, Aka allegedly presented the group as his own creation to political officeholders, soliciting benefits and support. The group’s executives and founding members condemned Aka’s actions, declaring that the association remains committed to supporting Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Aka has denied the allegations, but the group has passed a vote of no confidence in him and expelled him as chairman. The development comes amidst preparations for the 2027 general election, with the group affirming its continued support for Governor Abiodun.

The statement emphasized that the group will announce its next course of action soon, assuring members across the 20 local governments of Ogun State that it remains committed to its founding principles.
