BREAKING: AMOSUN’S CHOICE OF SUCCESSOR, ADEKUNLE AKINLADE EMERGES

Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun may have adopted a member of the House of Representatives representing Egbado South and Ipokia Areas of Ogun West at the National Assembly, Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade as his preferred successor.

It was gathered that the choice of Akinlade was reached late midnight of Wednesday at a meeting held at the private residence of late chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Deacon Poju Adeyemi located in Government Reservation Area (GRA),Ibara, Abeokuta.

The party executives, elders and other aspirants had engaged in a closed door meeting which lasted for hours, when thereafter one of the leaders of the party from the Ogun West Senatorial District,Alhaji Mohammed Olagbayi led cat out of the bag.

Governor Amosun had for a long time kept residents of the state and journalists as well as party members in suspense over who would be his choice, but he has never hide his conviction that he prefers Candidate from Ogun West to succeed him.

At a time he told the world that, his choice of successor would be a wizkid, but kept that to his chest, and gave consent to all interested aspirants to go on along with their campaign strategy. Among them include;, the Speaker of House of Assembly, Suraj Adekanbi, Tolu Odebiyi, the Chief of Staff, Biyi Otegbeye and Lawal, who are all from the same zone.

Further findings as at the time of filing this report revealed that, the emerged aspirant would be officially presented by the party on Thursday at the secretariat located along Moshood Abiola Way, Abeokuta.

In his remark after the meeting, Alhaji Ajibola Olagbayi announced the emergence of Hon. Akinlade as a consensus candidate

The party Governorship flagbearer hails from Ipokia local government area of the state from the Ogun West Senatorial district and is a serving member of the House of Representatives representing Egbado South and Ipokia Federal constituency.

Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade (TripleA) Ogun State Governorship Aspirant 2019, was elected as representative of Egbado South/Ipokia Federal Constituency of Ogun State in 2015. Adekunle is the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Climate Change; member of the following Standing Committees: Finance, FCT, Public Procurement, Army, Steel and Insurance.

Through diligence, hard work, a good understanding of the legislature and recognition by the Leadership of the House, he was made Chairman Ad hoc Committee on Insurance, Chairman Sub-Committee on Environment, Steel and Finance.

Similarly, Senator Kola Bajomo in his own remark called on indigenes of the zone to guide against working against each other, stressing that other aspirants should genuinely come out to support the candidate in the interest of the zone, which has not produce Governor since the creation of the State over 40 years ago.

Reports that, the party consensus candidate, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle in response thanked the leaders and other aspirants,pointing out that it is a project and vision for all and assured party faithful of all inclusive government.
