Anu-Olu International School celebrates excellence, as graduands pass out

It was a day of pomp and excellence last Saturday, July 30 as final-year students of Anu-Olu International Schools , Onikolobo, Abeokuta Ogun State officially passed out of the school amid pomp and ceremony.

The ceremony, which held at the school premises was filled with parents, guardians and children of all ages who come to witness the ceremony.

It was yet another glorious day for the school and, especially, the graduating students. With their heads held high, they filed out on the stage to receive their testimonials and individual awards.

The Theme was “My tomorrow, my future”

The Remo North Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Liaison Officer, Hon. Abiola Ogundeko, was Chairman of the occasion.

In his message, He urged the graduands to keep up the great character they had built and sustained in their years at the school.

He charged them never to succumb to wrong influences by those they were going to associate with in the higher institutions. He said the students must always have a goal, and encourage them to remain focus as much as possible.

The ceremony came alive with the presentation of awards to outstanding students. The announcement of the three best students in the school caused cheers and considerable hoopla among the students, parents and guests at the event.

While speaking with journalists at the event, Oguntoye Eniola Deborah said the accomplishments came about following the hard work and dedication she put into his studies.

Her words: “It’s nice to be the Best graduating student because when you work so hard for something and you get it at the end, it feels so satisfying. It’s like all the work from the beginning, the extra reading, doing night preps, group reading etc are all worth it in the end. I got the awards and endowment and I’m really happy about that.

Principal of the school, Mr.Balogun Oluwaseun Adeyemi, expressed optimism that the departing students would remain focused.

“I hope they continue to keep their eyes on the ball. And as I will always say, you are never able to score a goal until you take a shot. It’s always a delightful pleasure to graduate students.

In His speech, The Chairman of Anu-Olu International School, Honourable Semiu Bola Lawal urged the outgoing senior secondary school students of the institution not to forget their root which he referred to as their inspiration and nurturing as they move to their next level of education.

Hon. Lawal expressed gratitude to parents who for years were supportive and sacrificed for the graduands. He, however, urged them not to relent on their commitment to seeing that the graduands’ education is not truncated at this level but to continue with their support and commitment to completing their education at the next academic level.
