Obafemi Owode LG Chairman Commends Police Performance, Decorates Newly Promoted Officers

Owode-Egba – The Nigeria Police Force’s recent promotions have been met with commendation and celebration in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, as the Chief Security Officer and Executive Chairman, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, personally decorated newly promoted officers at the Area Command in Owode Egba. The event, held yesterday, July 29, 2025, underscored the local government’s commitment to strengthening security within the council area.

Ambassador Ogunsola expressed his deep satisfaction with the efforts to tighten the security of lives and property within Obafemi Owode. He specifically congratulated the newly promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Adeniyi Adedeji, the Area Commander in Owode Egba, on his well-deserved promotion, describing it as a testament to his unwavering dedication to the service of the Nigerian Police Force.
In a show of solidarity and encouragement, Ambassador Ogunsola joined DCP Adedeji in decorating some of the subordinate officers who also received promotions within the command. He charged all the newly promoted officers to remain loyal, dedicated, and to uphold the integrity of the force wherever they serve.

The Council boss further extended his congratulations to the newly promoted subordinate officers on behalf of the government and the good people of Obafemi Owode Local Government, assuring them of continuous government support.

Earlier, the newly promoted DCP Adeniyi Adedeji expressed his profound appreciation to the Council Chairman for honoring their invitation despite his busy schedule. He conveyed his joy, noting that promotions significantly enhance officer motivation, and reaffirmed his and his team’s dedication to ensuring the security of lives and property across the council area.

The newly promoted officers decorated at the Owode Egba Command included Inspectors Lasisi Fatai and Jimoh Kabir, along with Sergeants Thomas Bode and Mojisola Alade.
Other Divisional Police Officers who attended the decoration program were CSP Okikiolu Agunbiade from Redeemed Camp Division, CSP Folake Afeniforo from Mowe Division, CSP Olatujoye Akinwande from Owode-Egba Division, CSP A. Ajayi from Ibafo Division, and CSP Ayegbede John from Warewa Division.
