Breaking: INEC declares Speaker Oluomo winner of Ifo Constituency 1

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the speaker of Ogun state House of Assembly and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the Ifo 1 state Constituency
Prof. Richard Abayomi Shobayo from FUNAAB , INEC Constituency Returning officer, on Saturday, announced that Oluomo polled 7,546 votes to win the election.
APC = 7,546
PDP = 6,569
Okikiola Ogundele of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 6,569 votes.
“Hon Olakunle Oluomo having scored the highest votes at the election and having satisfied the requirements of the law has been declared the winner of the Ifo Constituency 1 state House of Assembly and returned elected,” Professor Shobayo said
Election initially, which held on March 18, was keenly contested between Oluomo and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Okikiola Ogundele, a son of the PDP Chairman in Ogun, Sikirulahi Ogundele.
