“Governance Is A Thankless Job” Says Ex Gov Accused Of Pocketing N2.2b Monthly From Workers Salaries For 8yrs!

Immediate past governor of Ogun state Ibikunle Amosun says “governance is a thankless job”.

Amosun made the statement while backing the nomination of Lai Muhammed as a ministerial nominee by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Amosun made the ” governance is thankless job” comment while testifying to the competence of Muhammed and urging the Senate to let the nominee “take a bow and go” during screening.

The comment comes barely weeks after Amosun was accused by his successor Dapo Abiodun of skimming N2.5billion monthly from the wage bill of Ogun state workers for eight years as a governor.

Abiodun’s spokesperson,Kunle Somorin made the weighty allegation while speaking on behalf of the Governor.

Amosun who is now a Senator from Ogun state did not respond to the allegation.
